What types of positions do you fill?

Preferred Healthcare Registry partners specifically with PTs, PTAs, OTs, OTAs & SLPs. With Preferred you control your own schedule and your own destiny! Work at several different facilities - or at the same one. Preferred has contracts with the best facilities and many call us exclusively. Choose from F/T, P/T, Weekends, Contract, or a Temp-to-Perm position in the setting of your choice. Is there any fee for your services?

No, there is never a charge to a Therapist!

Where are your jobs located?

Preferred Healthcare Registry places Therapists throughout California and the region. Our caring and experienced managers work very closely with all our Therapists to ensure that we keep you as close to home as possible while scheduling you in the setting of your choice. Our Therapists call our "catering to their needs" - the best!

In what type of settings can I work?

Preferred offers assignments in a variety of settings including: Acute Hospitals, Assisted Living, Rehab, Out Patient, Private Practice, Skilled Nursing Facilities and Schools. We offer the widest selection of jobs in your area...Our Staffing Manager work closely with you to ensure that your needs are being met. Many facilities call us exclusively. Choose from F/T, P/T, Weekends, Contract, or Permanent positions. Our Therapists call this variety - the best!

How do I apply?

You can apply online or contact our Staffing Managers via telephone. Choose whichever is easier for you! Preferred Healthcare Registry wants to ensure that the application process is as easy and worry free as possible. Before we can start to discuss your first assignment we must have the following credentials on file: a current state license, CPR, TB test (within the last year) or Chest X-Ray, physical (within the last year) and two professional references.

How long does the application process take?

Preferred Healthcare Registry must have specific credentials on file to get you started. Once we have these credentials we verify your license, check your references, and discuss your availability and needs. Typically we have these steps completed within 24 hours of receiving your complete file of credentials. Then we look for assignments specifically designed to match your needs.

Do I have a say in where and when I'm scheduled?

Yes! We give you complete control over your schedule. We take the time to get to know you, what you want and where you want to work! You tell us your availability and the setting, and we'll do the rest!

How long does an assignment last?

Assignments can range in length from one day to six months or longer. We've had some Therapists at the same facility for several months and even several years! Many facilities will ask for Therapists back by name if they work well with their staff and provide exceptional patient care! Your Staffing Manager will communicate any and all information on assignments prior to confirming you.

When I'm on assignment(s), who is my employer?

Regardless of which Preferred Healthcare Registry facility you work for, Preferred is always your employer. Preferred is responsible for your payroll, taxes, benefits, workers' compensation, malpractice and liability insurance. You will work closely with a Staffing Manager to ensure your needs are being met, you have complete information on all assignments and all questions are answered before every assignment.

What is the deadline for my weekly timecard?

All timecards must be submitted by 12:00p (Noon) on Tuesday for the previous week worked. Our work week is Monday - Sunday. If you miss this deadline your check will be processed for the following payroll cycle. Pay dates are every Friday. Please use a new timecard each week for each facility. Please make sure that you fill in the timecard completely and accurately, and have a facility representative sign your timecard. Your timecard can be mailed, e-mailed to payroll or faxed to our office via our toll free fax line: 800.787.6762 or you can e-mail it to Accounting@PreferredRegistry.com.

When can I expect to be paid?

Preferred Healthcare Registry pays on a weekly basis. Payday is on the Friday following the week you worked. As an added benefit Preferred Healthcare Registry offers direct deposit to our Therapists. Your timecards must be received by 12:00p (Noon) on Tuesday following the week worked to have your check deposited (or mailed) on Friday.

Am I eligible for benefits through Preferred Healthcare Registry?

Yes! Preferred offers the most complete and unparalleled benefit package at just 20 hours per week! What do I do if I need assistance after hours or on the weekend?

Preferred Healthcare Registry is dedicated to meeting your needs 24/7! In the case of a staffing emergency or an urgent need, we have staff available to you via telephone after hours and on the weekends. Our emergency staffing line is 800.462.1896.

Can I avoid facility politics?

Yes! We give you the ability to concentrate on quality patient care without all the politics! Go in.Treat your patients.Then go out and enjoy your life, family and friends!
